The SANKUANZ Autumn-Winter 2019 collection begins with designer Shangguan Zhe’s impression of human beings living in the age of the Internet. The World Wide Web is like the ocean, boundless and unfathomable. SANKUANZ’s virtual squad of combat divers, “Drown 52”, is sent to explore this ocean, to examine how this significant trace of the future is affecting our present.

In this collection, SANKUANZ debuts its current vision of a female: she is mysterious and assertive, demonstrated in the brand’s premier women’s collection featuring a shiny black leather blazer, bomber jacket, and tight zipper leather look - all equally as sharp as the men’s.

This season’s campaign enlists the talents of French photographer Hugo Compte. His style of photography that is both futuristic and retro has become highly recognizable. Furthermore, how his work emphasizes on “the present” is in line with with Zhe’s interpretation of his own brand: fashion reflects the current state of society, and SANKUANZ will reflect Zhe’s surrounding environment. This tacit consonance eventually led to this congruous collaboration.
